Message from Interim Chief Cagann
Welcome to the home page of the Elgin Fire Department. My name is Robb Cagann; I have been a member of the Department for nearly 27 years, serving the past 3 years as the Assistant Chief of Operations, and recently appointed as the Interim Fire Chief.
The Elgin Fire Department is an all-hazards emergency response agency which means we respond to a wide array of incidents including fire, medical and rescue situations. Our department puts a strong emphasis on training and as Interim Chief, I am proud of the knowledge, skills and abilities our personnel exhibit every day.
We have set goals to enhance participation in our Fire Explorer program, build a framework to assist in enhancing diversity during future hiring processes and enhance our social media interaction in an effort to provide greater outreach to the community. I look forward to interacting with the members of our community regularly.
